She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has been at odds with fans since its first episode. Created by Jessica Gao, the show stars Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters. The show has been riddled with cameos, including Daredevil, Hulk, and Abomination.
It previously faced criticism for its wonky CGI and uninteresting plot. Some even raised concerns over its dialogue writing, with many swearing off watching the show within a few episodes.
Daredevil’s introduction with She-Hulk
Since the cancellation of the Defenders saga, fans have been clamoring to see many of the characters return, especially Daredevil. Much to their excitement, he was announced to join the MCU and would feature in She-Hulk-Attorney at Law.
As the trailer for She-Hulk had already promised his introduction, fans were gearing up to see him return, but many found the tonal difference between the two characters unsolvable. While Daredevil was known to be dark and gritty, She-Hulk is littered with odd-comedy and light-hearted moments.
While the change in color of the character’s suit did bug some people, the delay in his appearance ticked most off. He finally appeared in episode 8, and it has already become the best-rated episode of the show.
Fan reaction to the team up
Even though well anticipated, not many are happy with Daredevil joining as a wise-cracking funny character. Many found the shift jarring but the biggest issue was him hooking up with She-Hulk. Fans called out the reason, noting it to be out of character and weird.
Even though Daredevil has been shown to be hooking up in his own show, with Elektra for example, fans continue to express disappointment with the scene. But many jumped on the opportunity to defend the blind lawyer, noting him to be a playboy in the comics.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is now streaming on Disney+.
