Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.0 Could be Dropping Imminently – Are You Ready Choom?

Since it’s lacklustre launch back in 2020 it’s safe to say Cyberpunk 2077 has seen a real turn around in its overall quality to a point where some would even say it can be considered a new game. With plenty of patches and regular updates CD Projekt Red really put the work in to turn Cyberpunk 2077 into the game it was always supposed to be.

Given that it was one of the most anticipated games of all time from the legendary studio behind The Witcher, it’s easy to see why fans were disappointed and also why CD Projekt Red were hot on it to sort the game out.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty releases September 27th 2023

Cyberpunk’s issues at launch aside let’s not dwell on what was and look towards what currently is and soon will be with what has been dubbed Update 2.0. Introducing a new Relic skill tree while also improving the A.I behind all enemy types and the NCPD that will see players actions being met with more realistic responses from the games police force including but not limited to implementing roadblocks and even attempting to run players off the roads during chases. Update 2.0 looks to revamp Cyberpunk’s existing mechanics with new and exciting features. Players can expect to see major improvements to all aspects of the game that are sure to entice fans.

When Will Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.0 Release

With just a few weeks away until Cyberpunk 2077’s next major DLC, The Phantom Liberty, many fans are eager to play and explore the next chapter of Night City. It was previously assumed that Update 2.0 would release along side this DLC on September 27th however thanks to a tweet from PlayStation Game Size we can expect this earlier as the update has been added to the PlayStation database. While PC and Xbox have yet to have a file size confirmed, PlayStation players can expect Phantom Liberty to require a minimum of 35GB, per PlayStation Game Size on Twitter.

As well as this CD Projekt Red have confirmed that Phantom Liberty will be Cyberpunk 2077’s last add on before work starts on The Witcher 4 which fans are eagerly anticipating following on from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available worldwide for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC. Phantom Liberty releases on September 27th 2023.
