Quest Director for Cyberpunk 2077 Details Upcoming 2.0 Update – The Police Are on the Way

Cyberpunk 2077

We know that the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, Phantom Liberty will launch on September 26th and although it has not been confirmed as yet, we expect update 2.0 to drop at the same time. Thankfully after many, many bug fixes and countless hours of work, CD Projekt Red seem to finally have the game to where they first envisioned it to be.

What’s New with Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0?

The Cyberpunk 2077 police system is updated and ready for players to take on the new and improved NCPD.

Although no date is confirmed, we expect Update 2.0 to drop alongside Phantom Liberty linking to the main Cyberpunk 2077 page. Sasko talked about how he likes to mess about with the Police in any changes he makes to quests, with the layered system, this makes it very enjoyable indeed to wreak some havoc.

So what’s new? Well, the system has been rebuilt meaning all criminal activities will be punished, runners will be chased down, and cyberpsychos will be flatlined, with no quarter given! And if that wasn’t enough, if you reach the maximum heat level (5 stars) then you can experience the Max tac mini-boss, along with archetypes of them. So have fun with that!

And the team have reassured players they haven’t improved the Police System just to upset the flow of your game or punish you too often for breaking the law. Far from it. The Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update is meant to be fun and meaningful experience.

And following the post on Social Media from Pawel Sasko, the majority of comments welcomed the upcoming update;

“Yeah the lack of significant response to literal gun battles in the street always seemed a bit off. Like this a lot.” – @disappoptimism

“I have been playing this game like I’m slow cooking food and it’s been worth every minute. I cant wait for more.” – @IronMan198XAD

I have to confess that since the launch I started the game 3x but I decided to postpone it until the DLC release because I knew that CDred would adjust what should be adjusted and submitted in the forums. I always trust you guys! – @WagChrissante

But there seems to be a general consensus from fans that they wanted to know when the update would actually launch, with some speculating it would drop before the Phantom Liberty expansion;

“Still no release date, my advice, at least 10 days before phantom liberty” –@Jetflight141

“Can you tell us when the 2.0 update will coming out?” – @jazzoobest

Who would have said that a few years ago? And with the new Police System, it feels like there will be a more realistic challenge when breaking the law. Bring it on Cop!
