Michael B. Jordan Proves Hard Work Beats Talent As He Prepares To Receive Walk Of Fame Star
Michael B. Jordan revealed to NJ.com in 2015 that being an actor was not his dream at all. It was his mother who set his career and took him to his first commercial audition.
“It wasn’t something that I always wanted to do. But like a lot of kids, you know, I didn’t know what I wanted to be. And modelling, acting, it got me out of school early, got me a chance to go into the city, so I was all into that.”
Aside from his television and film credits, Jordan is also included in Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. He was first and foremost an actor, but over the course of his fruitful career, the Creed star has been vocal about his interest in becoming a producer.
In fact, Jordan has his own production company called Outlier Society, a cutting-edge firm that promotes representation and inclusivity in the field of cinema.
Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, spoke about Jordan:
“Michael B. Jordan has become a household name thanks to his many roles on the big screen. To think that this star didn’t grow up with dreams of being an actor! Luckily for us, he changed his mind and now he will be honored with an iconic star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
Radio personality and Chair of the Walk of Fame selection panel Ellen K told Variety:
“The Panel did an amazing job choosing these very talented people. We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway!”
On top of receiving a Walk of Fame star, Jordan is also a recipient of six NAACP Image Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Producers Guild of America Award.
