One such question surprised the actor so much that he had to pause for a second before answering.
Johnny Depp Was Asked About His Relationship With Vanessa Paradis
Johnny Depp did an interview with Howard Stern where he was caught quite off-guard when Stern asked him a very odd question. At this time, Depp was in a relationship with Vanessa Paradis, and while the two were not married, they were living together with their then-two-year daughter, Lily-Rose Depp. Stern went on to question that actor, asking him why he was not married to Paradis.
“You’re problem is this, you’re so friggin’ good-looking,” Stern said, to which, his co-host added, “Remember poor Kate Moss, she almost did herself in when he left.” The former added that “no girl has ever tried to kill herself over me,” before telling Depp, “There’s no way you could ever be married because you just have too many opportunities.”
Stern went on to say that the reason why Depp could not get married to his partner was because of the fact that he was very good-looking and needed to keep his options open. Stern even brought up Depp’s previous relationship with model, Kate Moss, mentioning that it was because of all the love that he receives from women that he would never consider setting down, in fear of that going away.
Johnny Depp Was Taken Aback By Howard Stern’s Question
While Johnny Depp remained calm during this interaction, adding that he owes it to women to remain available, things quickly took a turn when Howard Stern asked the actor if he had ever been unfaithful to any of his partners in the past. This question took Depp by surprise, leaving him speechless for a few seconds. After a pause, Stern asked the star if he was still listening.
“Could you ever be satisfied with one woman like that?” Stern asked
Depp explained that he was simply pondering on the question, then explaining that he was not a cheater. The star then went on to say that if someone is in love with two people at the same time, they should choose the second. He elaborated on this, saying that if they really loved the first person, they wouldn’t have fallen for someone else.
