After the much-awaited John Wick 4‘s release, the franchise has more than enough fuel left to keep running and director Chad Stahelski has no plans to call it quits either. In a recent interview, he revealed his future plans for the franchise.
“So many people. So many! Keanu and I have a whole board of people we’d love to work with………… I’m a little bit old school, so the dream list is, ‘Clint Eastwood is going to make an appearance.'”
As the director went on to discuss his dream casting, it is wonderful to think how epic of a team-up it would be to have Keanu Reeves and Hollywood’s most badass action star, Clint Eastwood, come together in the already blockbuster John Wick franchise. While nothing has been confirmed yet, we can’t help but keep our fingers crossed!
Clint Eastwood Is Not The Only One Who Can Make An Appearance In John Wick 5
With cameos from actors like William Dafoe, Laurence Fishburne, and Ian McShane to name a few, having Clint Eastwood in John Wick would surely be the mother of all collabs in the history of action genre movies. But Eastwood is not the only actor Chad Stahelski would like to cast in the fifth installment of the franchise.
In the same interview, he revealed that his dream casting would be to have actors like Cillian Murphy or Jason Momoa make an appearance in the future installments of John Wick.
“Christian Bale, Chris Hemsworth, or Hugh Jackman; Matt Damon and all these people that I love. We’re friends with Jason Momoa, and I can’t imagine a better enticement than Jason Momoa coming in and giving you that look! Like, come on. These are all people we’d love to [work with].”
The John Wick movies have created a separate universe in the world of action-genre movies, with Keanu Reeves declared as the ultimate action star. Hence having stars like such would surely propel the movies into an even bigger phenomenon.
