Christian Bale is both Gorr the God Butcher and Batman. He is both a villain and a hero. He has done roles so polarising that he has displayed his talent in the best possible way. Being a respected actor has helped him gain a lot of recognition and no matter how many awards he may win, it all goes back to which role he found more difficult.
He may have done a lot of roles but some always take more from him than others. Whether it is the difference between playing a hero and a villain or the co-stars and directors he works with, some always manage to stand out more than others. Similarly, some are best left untouched while others can be played again and again.

Christian Bale Picks Gorr Over Batman
Playing Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder and playing Batman in The Dark Knight trilogy, Christian Bale has a contrasting range. The actor once admitted that when it comes to playing certain roles, it is always the character of an antagonist that is easier to perform.
“Because everybody is fascinated with bad guys, right? The minute the bad guy walks on the screen, no one’s looking at the good guy anymore. All eyes go to the bad guy, so it’s a much easier acting gig.”
He even acknowledged how things get much easier while acting as a villain because of the constant focus the audience has on the villain. The aura of a villain is always much stronger than that of a hero. This very fact helps him in movies like such. They are more powerfully shown initially and it is an entirely different flow whether it comes to writing or filmography when the bad guy is concerned. So to adapt all these factors into his own acting is much easier for Bale than adorning a black cape and a bat cowl.
Christian Bale Was Looking Forward To Playing Gorr The God Butcher
Christian Bale, much like every other actor and cast member included in the making of Thor: Love and Thunder, had his children in the movie. Moreover, he also added that there has been no other movie that has had the full support of his entire family. So there was no way he could deny the role of Gorr the God Butcher.
“This is the only film that my entire family has said I have to do.”
Not only did it include Bale’s children, but it also included Taika Waititi’s children, Chris Hemsworth’s children as well as Natalie Portman’s children.
