The Marvel superheroes’ playful banter and trolling in real life have become immensely popular among fans, and the actors themselves are well aware of the appeal. While Tom Holland is often seen as the arch-nemesis of Anthony Mackie in this friendly rivalry, he doesn’t shy away from playfully teasing other stars of the MCU. But, little did he know that his turn to be on the receiving end was just around the corner when Chris Pratt stepped up to defend his fellow ‘Chris’.
During Chris Pratt’s visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live three years ago, an unexpected surprise awaited him, it was Tom Holland who was sighted among the audience members. Taking advantage of the moment, Holland threw the same question at Pratt that Chris Hemsworth had playfully asked Holland a year earlier. And that is exactly when things got interesting!
Tom Holland Trolled Chris Hemsworth and Later Regretted It!
In a video titled Unsuited, released sometime in 2019, two Marvel Cinematic Universe superheroes, Tom Holland and Chris Hemsworth found themselves face to face. They engaged in a lively exchange, questioning each other about their careers while promoting their upcoming movies, which were set to be released soon. But things got a bit heated as the conversation went on, and ultimately got out of hand when Hemsworth decided to ask Holland “Who is your favorite actor in the whole world?”
Without skipping a beat, the quick-witted Spider-Man actor promptly responded with “Liam Hemsworth” as the answer, who turns out is the brother of Chris Hemsworth. As Thor tried to steer Holland in the right direction, the mischievous actor playfully retorted with the name of another brother, “Luke Hemsworth.” This funny exchange continued until Holland finally threw everyone off guard by proclaiming “India Hemsworth,” cheekily referring to Chris Hemsworth’s daughter, who he feels holds a lot of “potential”.
Chris Hemsworth, clearly disappointed that his name wasn’t chosen, didn’t dwell on the question anymore and swiftly moved on, not wanting to waste any more time on the matter. Although the interview seemed highly scripted, the banter between the two made the MCU fans crazy. However, Holland will later regret his smugness.
Chris Pratt Made Tom Holland Taste His Own Medicine
While Chris Pratt visited Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2020, he made sure Hesmworth was avenged! After the actor discussed his involvement in Jurassic Park, and shared some behind-the-scenes tidbits from the very famous American sitcom, Parks and Recreation, Kimmel decided to open the floor to the audience, and lo and behold Tom Holland, like a wild creature was spotted outside its natural habitat, among the audiences.
And he did have a serious question for “Mr. Chris Pratt” – he wanted to know who Pratt’s favorite actor in the entire world was. Pratt’s response to this question certainly lived up to expectations.
Thus, without hesitation, he answered Denzel Washington. But Holland wasn’t pleased with his answer, he thus urged him to come up with an answer that began with “Tom.” But little did he know, that the industry was far from experiencing a shortage of actors named “Tom”, causing a humorous moment. Thus after throwing out guesses like Cruise, Hanks, and Hiddleston, Pratt seemed to catch on to what the mischievous Spider-Man actor was up to and said,
“I see where this is going”
And then immediately followed it by answering “Hardy”. Not only did this create a hilariously comical moment, but it was also seen as Pratt coming to Hemsworth’s defense, in his own special way.
