Her portrayal of Quake in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has won audiences worldwide

Chloe Bennet is best known for her role as Daisy Johnson (aka Quake) in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Her character Daisy Johnson is a hacker extraordinaire and an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., who was raised at Saint Agnes Orphanage under the identity of Mary Sue Poots, but she adopted the alias Skye after she left the orphanage. Skye worked for the Rising Tide, a hacktivist group, which put her on S.H.I.E.L.D.’s radar. However, Phil Coulson recruited her into his team and appointed her as a consultant.

The series ended in 2020, but there have been rumors that Bennet could be reprising her role in the ongoing MCU web series, Secret Invasion. The series is based on the Marvel Comics storyline of the same name, which comprises a group of ‘Skrulls’ (shape-shifting aliens) who infiltrate Earth’s governments and organizations. The cast includes Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury; and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, a character who also appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. As for Jackson’s Nick Fury, he didn’t just appear in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but also throughout most of the MCU’s films over the years.

Her recent Twitter hack-tivity

The timing of this hacking of Bennet’s Twitter account is undoubtedly suspicious. As the episodes of Secret Invasion began rolling out on Disney+, the hack-cident could be a way to generate the much-needed buzz for the series. Of course, it is also possible that the hack is simply a coincidence. However, the fact that the company that hacked Bennet’s account is a crypto company is also interesting.

The company is called Blocked Protocol, and the hackers have even changed the account’s username from ‘chloebennet’ to ‘blokedchain’. However, as they did that, the username ‘chloebennet’ became available and is now taken by an account that has

written in its bio. Coincidence? We think not.

Only time will tell if Bennet will be returning to the MCU. However, the hack of her Twitter account has certainly raised some interesting possibilities.

Currently, she is playing Robyn in the FXX comedy TV series Dave. In the show,  Bennet plays a photographer who ventures tentatively into a romantic relationship with Dave Burd, a musician, and performer who frequently blurs the lines between his professional ambitions and personal instincts.
