Fans have been waiting ecstatically for the return of Charlie Cox to the iconic role of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. The actor portrayed the role back in 2015 in Netflix’s Daredevil which ran for 3 seasons and depicted Deborah Ann Woll as the love interest of Cox.
With the actor returning for the role, there seems to be a new love interest for the character in Daredevil: Born Again. As per rumors and speculations, the new lover of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock is none other than the therapist of Wilson and Vanessa Fisk.
Charlie Cox’s Return Also Sparks A New Love Interest
Portraying the role of the blind attorney turned crime-fighting vigilante, Charlie Cox found fame unparalleled around the world back in 2015. With a failed adaptation of the character by Ben Affleck, Cox became the hope of the people when he first took the role in 2015.
With his reprisal in Daredevil: Born Again, there are rumors abound on the internet that his typical love interest, Karen Page, will not be appearing in the series. As per a report by CanWeGetSomeToast, Margarita Levieva has been selected for a role in the upcoming series. The report stated that Levieva will allegedly portray Charlie Cox’s love interest in the series.
Portraying the role of Heather Glenn, Margarita Levieva’s character will be a therapist for the people. Not just any people though, it seems that Heather Glenn has clients in high places. Wilson and Vanessa Fisk, the antagonists of the story will reportedly be her regular clients while Matt Murdock will be her love interest.
It could be that Murdock could only be using Glenn for information on Wilson Fisk or if he fell in love and found out later about Wilson Fisk.
Charlie Cox Also Wants She-Hulk To Make An Appearance
Daredevil was recently seen in MCU’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Starring alongside Tatiana Maslany, the duo had quite the fun while working on the sets. In an interview with Metro.co.uk, Cox opened up about the possibility of working again with Maslany.
“I’ve made it no secret that I’m a huge fan of Tatiana’s and the fun we had on She-Hulk was some of the best fun I’ve had as that character. I thought she was amazing as Jennifer Walters, and I would be a huge… certainly an advocate of her showing up in our show if she’s free and available and willing and all of those things.”
With the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike and the WGA on its heels, Daredevil: Born Again has been delayed indefinitely. The series was originally slated for a release date in 2024 but recent reports suggest that the series has been removed from Marvel’s schedule entirely for the time being.
