Chadwick Boseman left us three years ago, and he is still remembered by movie connoisseurs as he was an exceptional actor. The actor has been part of many exceptional films such as Get on Up, 42, 21 Bridges, and many more but his most iconic movie was MCU’s Black Panther. Though he played a superhero on camera, many called him a real-life superhero because of his actions that touched many. Boseman played the role of King T’Challa, the ruler of Wakanda, and he was the Black Panther.
Though he played the role of T’Challa for a short period of time, his portrayal of the character was nothing short of iconic. The Draft Day actor embraced the role with passion, becoming the symbol of grace and strength. However, the late Chadwick Boseman’s co-stars think that his Black Panther was challenging.
Chadwick Boseman’s Co-Stars Would Not Like To Be In The Black Panther Costume
T’Challa made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, where he played a pivotal role in the film. Chadwick Boseman had worked alongside renowned actors such as Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Robert Downey Jr., and many more. However, during an interview, Olsen and Renner open up about the massive problem that came with the impressive superhero costume.
During an exclusive interview with Collider, Jeremy Renner stated how Chris Evans would complain about his cowl, making the actor sweat intensely.
“I know that poor guy. It’s the worst of any Marvel character. Yeah Cap would complain about his cowl and it’s like dude, he’s got three on! Terrible, sweating – if it takes you 30 minutes to go to the bathroom, that’s a problem.”
Elizabeth Olsen alongside his Avengers: Age of Ultron co-star agreed as she thought Ant-Man had the worst costume of all.
“He has the worst costume Black Panther…Yeah I thought Ant-Man was bad and then I saw him.”
While Boseman’s co-stars showed concerns about the suit, turns out the actor himself had problems with his superhero costume.
Chadwick Boseman Had Concerns Regarding His Black Panther Costume
In a separate interview, the Avengers: Infinity War actor opened up about his experience being in the superhero suit. Sadly, the actor did not have a pleasant experience either, as he gave new details about the costume.
“I see the same thing. You don’t have as much vision in the peripheral. Your peripheral vision is definitely skewed, and it’s gritty, so you have this gritty, tinted view. You can see enough. I think, as far as the mythology is concerned, vibranium is dynamic, it can change how it’s used. It’s not a liquid, but it has the ability to change shape and change form and still retain its strength.”
Chadwick Boseman continued that even though the suit is extremely uncomfortable, the shoes and boots were comparatively more comfortable.
“As far as the actual suit is concerned, there’s a lot of comfort in the shoes and the boots, and that’s about the only part I did enjoy. That being said, the boots are the hardest part to get on, but after you get them on, you’re like, ‘OK, that feels good.’ I remember being extremely hot, claustrophobic, but the shoes are still good. Everything else you get used to.”
Looking at the condition that the Gods of Egypt actor who played Black Panther showcases his immense dedication to the role. Even though Boseman’s untimely passing left the fans heartbroken, he would forever be remembered as an actor who influenced the movie industry. But most importantly, he would forever be remembered as King T’Challa, the ruler of Wakanda.
