Chris Evans, the man and the muscle behind one of the most iconic characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe never gave up on his work ethic. After the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the actor refused to give up on his training and kept his physique in constant check.
As per the man himself, Evans was able to maintain his body by maintaining a routine that kept him in check. The actor further revealed that he also held onto the muscle mass he gained from the previous movie which eventually ended up helping him in the future.
When Chris Evans Kept His Physique In Check
After the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the next big thing in the MCU that involved Chris Evans was Avengers: Age of Ultron. Although it was an Avengers movie, Chris Evans had to keep his physique in constant check.

According to the actor, maintaining his physique was not that difficult for him. As per sources, Evans stated that he only had to do a one-hour workout routine every day. According to the actor, he maintained the muscle mass that he had gained from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and maintained it.
That wasn’t all that the actor kept from The Winter Soldier. The Knives Out actor revealed that he also made sure that Steve Roger’s fighting style advanced. He further revealed that he gave the character of Steve Rogers an added emphasis on utilizing the environment and his surroundings.
Chris Evans Spoke About Dealing With Anxiety
Although maintaining his muscle mass was a tough ordeal, the actor also spoke about dealing with his anxiety issues. Dealing with a life full of fame, the actor talked about how he “stills” his mind which helps him calm down.
“You do have the opportunity every day to construct the reality in front of you and that starts with being present and in your own mind and understanding how to stop your mind from making noise.
He further continued,
“So, in a weird way, it’s been my classroom – this acting landscape has kind of forced you to hone some ability in terms of stilling your mind. And in turn you realize that a lot of the fear that breeds anxiety, never really happens, and it’s your own making.”
After retiring from the MCU, Chris Evans was most recently spotted with Ana de Armas when they starred together in Ghosted. The 2023 movie is available to stream on Apple TV+.
