Every year gamers gain a buzz when they hear Call Of Duty is getting another instalment in its franchise, and this hadn’t changed this year either, as many players were shocked to see a potential cover art release for the upcoming Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 that should be releasing this year. This turned into a bit of a joke as the official Call Of Duty Twitter account began to make jokes in regards to this key art which had been found on the Call Of Duty game client.

Why was the key art revealed, and why has the Twitter account made fun of it?
Recently there was an update on the Call Of Duty game client which revealed this key art to many gamers over the world and began the hype train that is still going strong to this day, and this isn’t the first time that this key art has been revealed as it was also released on cans of the Monster Energy drink last month. After the promotional event with Monster, the official Twitter account for Call Of Duty also made a joke out of that key art being released by issuing a tweet saying, “Whew. Mondays. Anyone have an energy drink they can spare?” as a way to deflect from the key art from being released.
Now the same key art has been revealed on the Call Of Duty game client the official Twitter account has also released an image making fun of this reveal as they have released a Microsoft Paint version of the key art with the caption “Modern Warfare Redacted?” written over the top of the image as the tweet says “Jokes on you, real key art here. We’ll share our artistic abilities and even more next week.” seemingly making fun of players and teasing them at the same time as they are gearing up for a proper reveal.
Will this connect to Call of Duty Warzone and other Modern Warfare titles?
So far, it has been announced that once Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is released, it will be a continuation from Modern Warfare 2 and will also be added into Warzone as operators will be accessible through Modern Warfare 3. All of the maps that are accessible on Modern Warfare 2 will carry over onto Modern Warfare 3 and will be playable for all players whilst also being able to use weapons and bundles that they have purchased during Modern Warfare 2 and the current Warzone.
At the moment, we still do not have a release date for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3, but thanks to an announcement from Activision, we do know that they are making good progress on this year’s instalment in the Call Of Duty franchise and we are looking forward to getting our hands on it.
