Bruce Willis is one of the most loved actors of all time. The American actor is an absolute legend of the industry and is very famous for his action roles in franchises like Die Hard. Willis made a lot of headlines last year after it was announced that he would be retiring from acting after he was diagnosed with aphasia. Earlier this year, his wife Emma Heming took to Instagram and informed his fans that his condition has deteriorated further. Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) recently.
Although he does not make any movies anymore, Bruce Willis made some memorable films back in the day. The Pulp Fiction actor had become such a big name in the industry that he earned millions even for the small roles in movies that eventually flopped. That is exactly, what happened with Cosmic Sin.
Cosmic Sin was so bad that Bruce Willis won a Razzie for it
Cosmic Sin was an American sci-fi movie that came out in 2021 and was a colossal failure at the box office. It seemed like everything was just bad about the film and it got an astonishingly low rating of 6% on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie was so bad that Bruce Willis even won the Golden Raspberry Award for “Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie.”
However, the award was later revoked after the actor was diagnosed with Dementia.
The actor made millions from Cosmic Sin even though the movie flopped
According to sources, Bruce Willis never showed much interest in making Cosmic Sin anyway. Willis allegedly used to “show up on set with zero enthusiasm, sleepwalks through the motions, and makes the production crew run themselves ragged so he can zoom in and out on his private jet.”
According to Make the Switch, Willis was paid almost $1-2 million for a single day of work on the set. In exchange, the producers got to use his face on the poster of the movie. “Clever producers make these kinds of movies at a loss as a tax write-off.”
Paradise City was the last movie Bruce Willis starred in before his retirement. His last movie at the box office did not give the legendary actor the farewell he deserved, as the movie received very negative reviews from fans and critics alike.
