It’s been quite a while since Marvel has not been able to give a satisfactory film to its audience. However, MCU doesn’t seem to lose hope, as the franchise is once again back with its 33rd movie. Marvel will soon release its superhero film The Marvels, featuring Brie Larson.
It has been reported that the film might fail the since many fans won’t be able to watch it. Previously, China banned Marvel movies in the country, however, it removed the ban almost four years. However, Marvel films might face an ugly fate as China might ban the franchise once again.
Brie Larson’s upcoming film The Marvels faces trouble
Brie Larson’s upcoming film The Marvels is all set to be released this year. However, the much-anticipated film might not make up for the expectation as there are chances that it might face a drastic downfall. It has been reported that the film might once again face a ban in China and Marvel fans will once again be deprived of the film.
Recently, a new trailer of the film got released that featured a glimpse of The Statue of Liberty with Captain America’s shield which stands on Ellis Island. The scene in the movie might cause trouble as it may result in a ban in China. China precludes the demonstration of iconic monuments from various parts of the country.
However, the upcoming Marvel movie has included the Statue of Liberty from Tom Holland’s latest adventure as removing it might hamper the originality of the film. But this might result in a greater risk.
As yet, the scenes that include support for LGBTQA have been banned, however, the franchise seems unconcerned by the ban and has refused to remove scenes that include intimacy between the characters. It seems like the Marvel franchise is ok even without China’s financial support. Although the fate of the film can only be known to the fans on its release.
What’s in store for Marvel?
The upcoming MCU film, The Marvels consists of a star-studded star cast featuring Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani in the lead role. The superhero film is full of twists and turns where fans will get to witness the team’s power.
The superhero trio will be seen fighting against the oppressive Kree. The trio will be seen conquering evil under the guidance of Samuel L. Jackson’s iconic character, Nick Fury.
The Marvels is scheduled to mark its release on November 10, 2023.
