The closest relationship she has had was with Monica’s mother Maria Rambeau in the first Captain Marvel film. But currently, there are many rumors floating about Captain Marvel being married. So who is Captain Marvel’s potential husband in The Marvels?
New rumors have revealed something interesting about the relationship between Captain Marvel, and Park Seo-joon’s character in the upcoming movie. Park Seo-joon is slated to play Prince Yan. He is best known for his roles in K-dramas like Itaewon Class and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. He also had a cameo in the Oscar-winning movie, Parasite.
Captain Marvel Got A Husband?
We had to rely on rumors to find out the details about the movie because there isn’t a lot of information available at this point. However, one recurrent rumor is that Park Seo-joon will play Prince Yan. Viewers had a glimpse of Park in character in the teaser trailer for The Marvels. There aren’t many clues as to his role, but his attire might be indicative of royalty. He has shoulder armor that resembles golden angel wings and a beautiful, vibrant blue cloak on.
According to recent rumors, Captain Marvel will be married in the upcoming movie. And the character of Prince Yan, played by Park Seo-joon, will be married to Carol Danvers.
A list of McDonald’s toys for The Marvels was found by a Captain Marvel fan account on Twitter. This list included the name of Park Seo-Joon’s character and Carol’s future husband. Fans can at least be confident that Seo-Joon will actually play Prince Yan. Furthermore, there is a toy for “Princess Carol,” indicating the rumor that he is the cosmic hero’s “husband“.
Fans might not find it appealing that Captain Marvel has a husband, but it’s important to keep in mind that historically speaking, it wasn’t exactly a husband-and-wife relationship. Instead, it was centered on two characters lending a hand to one another in order to demonstrate that everyone should have a choice when it comes to selecting a partner.
What will Captain Marvel 2 be about?
Along with the first trailer, we got the official plot synopsis for The Marvels. It reads:
“Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.”
It further added,
“When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now SABER astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau.
Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.“
The Marvels, previously known as Captain Marvel 2, will start with the series’ final scenes and dive into the events that occur following Ms. Marvel‘s story. The movie will also be a sequel to Captain Marvel, although given how much time has passed between the two films, it will probably be good as a standalone watch as well.
