A new report has revealed that the Oscar Winner, Brendan Fraser has been attached to the upcoming sequel to Jumanji: The Next Level.
According to Giant Freakin Robots, The Whale actor has been reportedly cast as Mr. Gilpin, father to Spencer Gilpin, in the fourth entry in the franchise. Considering that Jumanji is known for comprising colossal star power, involving the Oscar winner Brendan Fraser, who has marked his comeback in the industry, can ensure its success.
And if the following reports turn out to be true, The Rock and The Mummy actor can reunite after almost 2 decades since the Black Adam star step his foot in the industry.
Dwayne Johnson commends Brendan Fraser for saving his Hollywood career
Dwayne Johnson has been pretty vocal about Brendan Fraser’s contribution to his career in Hollywood. Following The Whale actor’s recent win at the Oscars, Johnson and Fraser reunited and The People’s Champion didn’t back away from commending the actor for standing beside him during his initial phase in Hollywood.
Despite being pushed to the wall by the industry, Fraser was the one who allowed The Rock to find his footing in the industry through The Mummy Returns. Johnson stated,
“Lots of critics and cynics betting against me at that time, but Brendan welcomed me with open arms and was very supportive.”
Even though the report of Fraser being included in the upcoming Jumanji movie hasn’t been officially confirmed. Fans will hope that the duo from The Mummy returns finally gets to reunite on the big screen after 2 decades.
