However, there have also been moments that did not turn out as she wished them to and a similar incident happened when she attended the New York premiere of her 2018 comedy film A Simple Favor.
When Blake Lively Wore a See-Through Shirt to Premiere
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Blake Lively opened up about a fashion mishap that led to some uncomfortable interaction between her and a fan. For the movie premiere, the actress opted for a sheer shirt with a suit and a sparkling veil following her gracefully.
However, the shirt that she wore was actually see-through. Talking to the talk show host, the actress shared that she did not realize that it was a see-through shirt, as it was a men’s shirt. “See the look of horror on my face?” she said, looking at her picture from the premiere.
She further stated that it was not the look she wanted, as she did not know that the shirt was see-through. “I didn’t realize it was see-through, the shirt. That’s not a look that I was going for because it’s a men’s shirt!” she said.
The Gossip Girl actress further shared that she had no idea that such shirts were available for men. Upon realizing that the shirt was see-through, she tried some DIYs to fix the situation. However, she was taken aback after listening to a fan’s comment on the red carpet.
Blake Lively Was Shocked by a Fan’s Comment
Blake Lively shared that after she realized that the shirt she was to wear for the premiere was see-through, the actress asked the mechanical department of the hotel for duct tape. However, the fear of accidentally flashing someone during the premiere only increased when the hotel offered her packing tape.
And Lively was shocked by a fan’s comment after she joined the premiere event in the see-through shirt. “I’m on the red carpet, and this guy goes, ‘Blake, Blake! Your t*ts are amazing!” she recalled. It only got worse after the woman standing next to her agreed and said, “Well, I mean, they are.”
The actress was shocked by the inappropriate comment, only to realize that the fan was talking about totally another thing. “Then he’s like, ‘And your husband’s tweets are even better!” the Accepted actress said. She then realized that the fan was complimenting her about her social media presence and was talking about her tweets instead of making inappropriate comments about her.
