Black Adam: Sarah Shahi To Possibly Play The Role Of Isis

It was learned a couple of days ago that Black Adam’s wife Isis is set to appear in the adventures of the DC antihero. However, the latest reports from Illuminerdi tell us which actress will play her role. It has been revealed that the part of Adrianna Tomaz (aka Isis) in Black Adam has been offered to Sarah Shahi.

Even though there isn’t any official confirmation in this regard, but the news website claims that the actress has already signed, or is very close to doing so.
For those who aren’t familiar with the comics, Isis plays a very important role in a series of events after Infinite Crisis where the rise of Black Adam was seen.

Isis who’s real name is Adrianna Tomaz, is the wife of the protagonist Teth-Adam. She is described as “a brave Middle Eastern woman who vigorously opposes violence, and is strong enough to stand by Teth-Adam’s side”. In the comics, it is revealed that Adam falls in love with Isis and gives her a powerful amulet that lands her with abilities equal to him. She possesses superhuman strength, speed, and endurance, as well as control over natural elements and will have a very significant role in the film.

Lately, fans of the famous Arrowverse have seen the character of Zari in ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ played by Tala Ashe which has show similarities with Isis. However, the filmmakers of the series have said that she is totally a different character and shouldn’t be confused otherwise.

Aahoo Jahansouz Shahi, who goes by the stage name of Sarah Shahi, was born in Texas to an Iranian father and a Spanish mother. She is best known for her work on the small screen, in series such as Alias, Life, The L Word, Fairly Legal, Person of Interest, City on a Hill, Chicago Fire, Reverie, and The Rookie.

Black Adam, which will mark the debut of Dwayne Johnson in the superhero world, is one of the most anticipated films in development right now. The casting process is in full sway and multiple characters who will join ‘The Rock’ in his role of Teth-Adam have been revealed. Aldis Hodge is set to feature as Carter Hall, AKA Hawkman, and Noah Centineo as Albert Rothstein, AKA Atom Smasher. Other characters confirmed for the film include Maxine Hunkel, AKA Cyclone, Doctor Fate, Adrianna Tomaz, AKA Isis, as well as her son.

At the moment, Warner Bros. has removed ‘Black Adam’ from its release schedule due to the prevalent global COVID19 pandemic
