Back in the 1990s, technology wasn’t as advanced as it is now. Although the technology was lagging, the idea of Starfield was already in development as far back as the 1990s! With almost two and a half decades in the making, the AAA video game is sure to meet people’s expectations.

With Starfield being an action role-playing game, fans are quite excited about this unique experience since video games set in space often end up disappointing. The upcoming AAA video game, however, seems to have decades’ worth of passion put into it to become just the game people need.

Starfield Took 25 Years In The Making!

With 1000 planets to explore and 10% of them containing life, the upcoming video game will set quite a benchmark for future AAA video games. Bethesda Game Studios, known for their Role Playing Games and Action-Shooters, combined the two to create Starfield.

Fans are already excited about Bethesda Game Studios since they are helming the project. Being afraid of another Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco by CD Projekt RED, Bethesda is taking its sweet time in releasing its magnum opus. Announced back in 2018 alongside The Elder Scrolls VI, fans have been waiting for quite a while for the release. What the fans don’t know, however, is that the game had been thought of way back early in the 90s!

As per trivia, Bethesda Game Studios had thought of a game like Starfield way back in the 1990s. During the release date trailer, it was shown that the game had been in development for 25 years. Todd Howard, the director of Bethesda Game Studios, tried to make the game way back in the 1990s. The technology at that time was so poor that the plan had to be scrapped. 25 years later, Howard found his dream come true with Starfield about to release very soon to millions of players worldwide.

Starfield’s Pickpocketing Will Be More Intense Than Skyrim

Fans familiar with The Elder Scrolls franchise know about how fun it is to pickpocket random NPCs while you’re adventuring through the game. Well, it seems that Bethesda does not want to let go of that pickpocketing system, but surely made it intense for people to pickpocket.

In a recent Reddit thread, a Reddit user mentioned that the pause that players had when opening the pickpocketing menu will be eliminated in the AAA video game. The pickpocket will have to be done quickly without alerting the NPC and will have to be on the go and not stationary. This adds a sense of realism and heightened intensity to the game mechanics which the players seem to love.

With pickpocketing and planets to explore, Starfield is set for a release date of 6th September 2023 and will be available to play on Xbox Series S/X and PCs.
