Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been besties since their childhood. They grew up in the city of Cambridge and shared the same ambition of chasing the Hollywood dream. They became a part of the American film industry and did a couple of projects together. Some of their finest works together include Jersey Girl, Good Will Hunting, The Battle of Shaker Heights, and Field of Dreams.
The duo know each other for almost 40 years and recently they started a production company and worked together on a film named Air. Damon and Affleck mentioned that they always wanted to do filmmaking together and have now fulfilled this dream. They love each other’s company and enjoy working on several projects.
Ben Affleck Roasts Matt Damon’s Work
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have always been great comedic duos, which we never thought we needed. Recently, the Live by Night actor did a commercial for the Dunkin’ coffee brand. While promoting the brand in the ad, two of the brand employees had a hard time recognizing the actor in the commercial. But one of the employees tries to make the other recall his memory by saying, “You know, The Departed.”
The employees misunderstood Ben Affleck for Matt Damon and the Paycheck actor got triggered. He then snarkily tells them that yes he is Matt Damon. The duo employees respond by saying that they “love him” to which Affleck has a sarcastic response as he says ” Nah I mean some of his work, he’s had a really consistent career.”
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s friendship has grown over the years and holds a special place in their hearts.

Matt Damon Played An Important Role In Ben Affleck’s Life
Ben Affleck’s Batman was first introduced in the year 2016 with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. He has opened up publicly on his decision to hang up his bat cap and not look back. After starring in Justice League, he felt it was a “nadir experience” for him. He didn’t play any blame game but he claims that some bad things happened and he felt like not continuing the role further.
The Last Duel actor also explained how his best friend Matt Damon’s “principal influence” played an important role in his decision-making.
“In fact, I talked to you about it and you were a principal influence on that decision. I want to do the things that would bring me joy. Then we went and did Last Duel and I had fun every day with this movie. I wasn’t the star, I wasn’t likable. I was a villain. I wasn’t all the things I thought I was supposed to be when I started out and yet it was a wonderful experience. And it was all just stuff that came along that I wasn’t chasing.”
Ben Affleck will be wearing his cape of the Gotham savior once again in the two upcoming DCEU films. The Flash will be released on June 16th,2023 starring Ezra Miller in the lead role. And Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom which will arrive in theatres on December 25th, 2023.
