The conclusion of Jon Favreau’s Iron Man (2008) introduced a cherished tradition in the MCU realm, assuring comic book enthusiasts and fans of the inaugural true MCU film that the journey of armored Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) was far from over. Rather than a mere suggestion of Stark’s imminent return, it pledged the eventual assembly of the complete Avengers roster, which also included Chris Evans as Captain America.
Back then, it marked a remarkably pioneering step. Prior to this, the cinematic landscape had yet to witness a monumental superhero crossover film, uniting characters from their individual triumphs into a single formidable force fighting in unity.

Chris Evans’ Prosthetic Made Him Uncomfortable
The conclusion of The Avengers shattered conventions by delivering a dual scene during its end credits. The initial scene foreshadows the imminent prominence of Thanos as a formidable adversary entangled in confrontations with Earth.
The subsequent scene captures the battle-weary Avengers playfully realizing a casual remark about indulging in shawarma. Surprisingly, this latter sequence wasn’t initially scripted and was filmed just a day after the movie’s Los Angeles premiere on April 11, 2012, amid the actors’ media whirlwind.
Due to the timing, maintaining consistency posed a challenge for Chris Evans, whose portrayal of Captain America stands out in the scene by not partaking in the meal. Instead, he obscures his face with his hand, conveying an air of weariness. The actual reason behind this absence of a clear shot of Evans is that he had cultivated a beard for his role in Bong Joon-ho’s “Snowpiercer” (2013), and the prosthetic used to conceal it didn’t achieve a realistic appearance for him to enjoy the feast.
Instances in the comic books revealed Captain America’s periods when he deviated from his iconic role. The inception of The Nomad occurred when disillusionment struck him after the Watergate scandal, and his attire in “Infinity War” mirrors the outfit donned during his stint as that persona in the 1970s.
Chris Evans Was Shocked To See Robert Downey Jr’s Biceps
Robert Downey Jr. stands at the pinnacle of iconic status. Avengers enthusiasts readily perceive him as the living manifestation of his celebrated on-screen persona. His commitment to the role extended beyond dedication, including rigorous gym sessions to build his physique. Although not an extensive transformation, his efforts were notable, evident by the camaraderie in his appearance with co-stars Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth.
Evans and Hemsworth are prominently recognized for their impressive physiques, arguably ranking among the most well-built individuals within the ensemble. During an MTV interview, the duo was presented with snapshots of their castmates’ biceps to identify. Among these images was Robert Downey Jr.’s bicep capture from his second Marvel installment, Iron Man 2. The reactions of both Chrises were nothing short of disbelief and hilarity, adding an amusing twist to the scenario.
