The Batman: Arkham Trilogy is a set of games that has been around since 2010, which was when the first game Arkham Asylum was released it set a whole new standard for games to compete with over the next few years and now it has been announced that the Arkham Trilogy will be coming to Nintendo Switch in October. This does not include Arkham Origins, which is considered by many to be the black sheep of the namesake.

What games will be coming in this Arkham Trilogy?
As previously stated, the Arkham Trilogy set of games has been around since 2010, and there have been four different games released under that IP, but not all four games will be coming to Nintendo Switch as we will be getting Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight. These will be the three games that we will be getting in this upcoming Arkham Trilogy, as all three of these games were developed by the same company and followed the same story throughout.
All three of the games that we will be receiving were all developed by Rocksteady as they started with Batman: Arkham Asylum, which was quite a small metroidvania-type game style which had Batman exploring Arkham Asylum to stop a scheme from the Joker. Next, we have Batman: Arkham City, which expanded on the experience as players were able to explore a wider location with tall buildings to zipline up, and a more open-world-based experience. Finally, there was Batman: Arkham Knight, which brought players to Gotham as a whole as players were able to explore throughout Gotham, gliding between skyscrapers and using the Batmobile to explore at speed.
Once this trilogy is released on Nintendo Switch, it will also be bringing with it the extra DLCs that were brought to the Arkham Trilogy, as the first two games did have some minor DLCs in terms of additional suit options for Batman, some challenge levels and even an extra mini story to do as Robin.
When it came to Batman: Arkham Knight, the post-launch experience was full of additional DLC that was available for players, as they were able to gain access to extra stories, including all of the Bat Family, and even Harley Quinn gained some playtime, there was also some costume changes, and even some new Batmobile races for players to take part in, and finally there was DLC including some Batman villains that hadn’t gained any screen time and needed to have their time in the spotlight.

What will the quality be of the games once they release to Switch?
Many gamers might be concerned about the quality of this trilogy once it gets released to Switch as it has been developed to run better on stronger consoles, but you don’t need to worry as the first two games are pretty small and don’t require a lot of power to run as they were developed by in 2010 and 2011 so they aren’t up to scale with games that are releasing these days so it won’t struggle too much with the first two games.
The issue may arise when it comes to Batman: Arkham Knight, as when it was developed, it was created using Unreal Engine 3, which is a bit too strong for the Nintendo Switch to run due to its hardware not being able to process a game that uses anything graphically demanding. Many gamers will be happy to know that the development of this will be done by an independent studio called Turn Me Up Games, who have already brought a few different games onto the Switch in the past, like It Takes Two, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 & 2, and Wayfinder.
