It is common knowledge that Henry Cavill would have been James Bond had it not been for Daniel Craig. Ever since the star quit his role in the Netflix series The Witcher and got fired from DC, fans have been hoping that Cavill would finally get to play the famous British spy.

While there has been no official announcement, there have been rumors that the star is in the line to play James Bond next. Among the many actors in line, Cavill appears to be a leading choice, especially since fans have been wanting for years to see the Man of Steel actor as 007.

Now as Greta Gerwig has hinted that she would love to direct a Bond film, it would certainly be amazing to see Cavill as James Bond in a film directed by Gerwig.
