"As long as it's good, it's all that matters": After Feuding With Dwayne Johnson, John Cena Now Defending His $7.2B Franchise

John Cena has become quite a big character in The Fast and Furious franchise even though entered the series in the ninth film, F9. He came in as Dominic Toretto’s estranged brother, Jakob Toretto and the two had quite a big conflict throughout the movie before sorting out their problems and Cena’s character becoming part of their family.

The latest movie in this franchise is Fast X, the tenth installment. This movie has done exceptionally well at the box office and has been adored by fans. This, however, isn’t always the case. With an extremely successful franchise come people who like to hate every aspect of it. This is what John Cena has to say to the haters.

John Cena Talks About the Criticism Received By The Fast and Furious Franchise

One of the biggest criticism that is received by The Fast and Furious franchise is the number of movies they are putting out and the lack of realistic fight sequences in the movies. To this,  John Cena says that the number of sequels that follow each movie should not bother people this much.

“Having just performed at the 39th installment of WrestleMania, my philosophy is: ‘As long as it’s good, that’s all that matters.'” John Cena added, “Fast continuously – and box office data backs it up – entertains the world, installation after installation.”

He stated that as long as the movies are profitable and entertain their fans, it should not matter how many movies there are. Fast and Furious has put out eleven movies and much much more are expected to follow including the finales and multiple spin-off movies.

John Cena Thinks Those Who Hate Fast and Furious Movies Do Not Understand Them

John Cena continued to say that those who call the movies unrealistic and don’t think there is a need for more movies simply don’t understand what the franchise is trying to do. He compared this to someone saying that wrestling is fake and how they don’t really understand what is the true intention behind wrestling.

“Anyone who says, ‘Do we really need another one?’ I compare it to a fan who says, ‘Isn’t wrestling fake?'” John Cena went on, “They just don’t understand what we do,” he said, “And they just don’t understand what this is about. As long as the movies are exceptional. Which, this one might be my favorite of all time, and I go deep into the Fast library. If someone makes that comment – which they’re entitled to – I just don’t think they understand what we do.”

He went on to say that also long as audiences are entertained and the movies are exceptional, they should have to worry about this. He continues, adding that he is very proud of the recent Faxt X and thinks that it might be his favorite movie of all time. He even added that he has been a massive fan of the franchise so he understands the weight of what he is saying.
