The actor is the OG action hero of Hollywood with numerous classics like The Terminator franchise, Commando, True Lies, Last Action Hero, and many others. He is a legendary bodybuilder, and at 75, he is among the fittest actor in the industry. The star seems to be interested in the MCU as he appreciated his son-in-law’s film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has released a statement that indicates that the actor might be interested in a role in Marvel Universe.
Arnold Schwarzenegger hints towards entry into MCU
Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is the father-in-law of the actor Chris Pratt, was full of praise for him after viewing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Pratt plays the role of Star-Lord aka Peter Quill, in the franchise.
Total Recall star shared a warm message for the actor on Twitter,
“saw #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3 last night and WOW, @prattprattpratt, you crushed it. A non-stop, perfect mix of comedy and action. I loved it and I’m very, very proud of you.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger might be seen in a Marvel movie after the super success of Pratt’s MCU journey. In an interview with Men’s Health, the actor was asked about considering a future role in Marvel Universe, Schwarzenegger said,
“If the role is right!”
Chris Pratt is married to the actor’s daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger, and shares two children with her- Lyla Maria, 2, and 11-month-old Eloise Christina.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Arch-Rival Sylvester Stallone in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
If the reports about Arnold Schwarzenegger joining the Marvel Universe are believed, then it would double the excitement for Schwarzenegger’s fans. It is because the two stark enemies Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, would be working under the same banner.
Sylvester Stallone made his grand entry into MCU with his scenes in Chris Pratt’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, released in 2017. He was a surprise guest in the movie and played the role of a Ravager called Stakar Ogord. He reprised his role in the MCU film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 released in 2023, five years after the previous one.
In the third installment also he played the role of Stakar Ogord, who assisted the Guardians of the Galaxy, along with his team of Ravagers, to break into the High Evolutionary’s Orgosphere.
As per reports by Deadline, the bodybuilder star Arnold Schwarzenegger has not yet left behind his action days and will be back on the movie screen after four years. He will be part of filmmaker Scott Waugh’s upcoming action thriller Breakout.
Arnold Schwarzenegger will also be making his television debut with the spy-thriller FUBAR. The eight-part series is airing on Netflix.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was released in May and is still in theatres.
