Before we get too excited, let’s consider the challenges of bringing Iron Man back to the MCU. Downey Jr. was paid a whopping $75 million for his role in Avengers: Endgame, and even a small cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming cost Marvel Studios $15 million.

That’s a lot of cheddar. And let’s not forget about the contractual negotiations that would have to take place for Downey to reprise his role. But even with these challenges, hope springs eternal, other MCU actors have expressed their hopes for Downey’s return.
