"Are you friends with my cousin?": Brie Larson Confesses Her Biggest Fear After Captain Marvel's $1.12 Billion Box Office Success

Brie Larson has gathered quite a lot of success with her work in Hollywood. From being a part of the Fast and Furious franchise, having starred in the recent movie, Fast X, to being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as one of the most powerful characters, Captain Marvel, she is an exceptional actress, deserving of her accomplishments including winning an Oscar for Best Actress for 2015’s Room.

When actors reach these heights of success, it is quite difficult for them to even leave their houses without being recognized and surrounded by fans and paparazzi. Many celebrities have talked about how often this happens to them and this has pretty much-become part of the job for all except Larson herself as it would appear not to be a problem for her.

Brie Larson Does Not Get Identified in Public

Brie Larson talked about what it was like to be out in public for her as an Oscar-winning actress and Captain Marvel’s $1.12 billion box office success. What is surprising to find out is that the actress does not have trouble going incognito when she is out and about as she does not get recognized by people.

“If I’m checking out at the grocery store, I don’t get recognized,” Larson said on the Working It Out podcast. “I get, ‘Are you friends with my cousin?’ I am the classic face of ‘friend of your cousin.’”

When she is recognized, however, it would seem people aren’t able to place where they know her from, instead mistaking her for things like cousins of their friends. This is something Larson joked about, saying that she must have a classic ‘friend of a cousin’ face. While this lack of recognition might trouble some, the Captain Marvel actress seems to prefer it this way.

“I want to be in reality. I love reality. It’s all I want,” she stated, “My biggest fear is to not be in reality. It matters so much to me,” Larson added. “I don’t wear super-flashy clothes when I’m out in the world because I want to stay in reality. I’m very good at confrontation in my relationships because I want to be in reality. I want to be in what’s as close to what’s true as possible.”

The actress went on to say that not being grounded in reality is one of her biggest fears. She stated that she does not wear flashy clothing and is good with confrontation for this sole reason. She does not want to get lost in the superficiality of the celebrity life.
