Even though the actor is set to shift his roots away from the beloved series, the Man of Steel star has nothing but nice things to say for the entire cast, especially for his costar Anya Chalotra.
Unlike most aspects of the show, which have been drifting away from the source material, Anya Chalotra has played her part to perfection, and Cavill hasn’t backed away from commending the actress.

Known for playing the role of Yennefer of Vengerberg in The Witcher, just like Henry Cavill, who has cemented himself as Geralt of Rivia, it’s hard to imagine anyone as Yennefer except Anya Chalotra. Following her performance as Geralt’s beloved, the actress hasn’t backed away from showcasing her acting range and was successful in leaving the entire cast in fascination. Even though season 3 will mark the end of Cavill’s tenure as Geralt of Rivia, he is assured that Chalotra will keep on delivering exceptional performances. He said,
“I think whatever happens with the storytelling in Season 3, Anya’s gonna knock it out of the park. She is extraordinary in what she does as Yennefer. The subtlety in her performance is mind-blowing.”
While reflecting upon the departure of her costar from the iconic show that he helped in crafting from the very beginning, Anya Chalotra expressed that it was a hard pill to swallow.

After breaking her silence on the matter, the Wanderlust actress expressed her admiration for the actor and his contribution to the show and stated that she is going to miss him a lot. She said,
“All we knew were the feelings that we have when any season comes to an end. It’s full of pride and love and accomplishment for what we’ve done. So, we stayed in that moment rather than anything else. The news was… yeah, it’s hard to take because he’s a crucial part of the show and we all adore him. So, we’re gonna miss him a lot. I wish him all the best.”
With fans gearing up to witness Henry Cavill’s swansong as the iconic character, fans are hoping that the third season will be able to do justice to the source material.
The Witcher Season 3, Volume 1 will debut on June 29 and Volume 2 will debut on July 27 on Netflix.
