Both MCU and DC are on their way to crafting their universe in their respective manner. With Marvel kickstarting their multiverse saga with Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man threequel and James Gunn moving forward to implement his roadmap about building a cohesive narrative for DCU, both studios are ready to compete on the big screen with their upcoming titles.

But despite their rivalries, some of the actors have showcased that they aren’t interested to voice their opinion on the DC vs Marvel debate, including MCU star Paul Rudd and DC star John Cena. And the actors are ready to join forces in the upcoming TMNT installment.

John Cena and Paul Rudd join forces for the upcoming TMNT installment

With the new installment in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IP catching up with the heat after the 2016 debacle, Seth Rogen and Nickelodeon has garnered colossal star power, including Paul Rudd and John Cena for the upcoming movie. With John Cena lending his voice for Rocksteady and Paul Rudd for Mondo Gecko, the superhero duo will be joining other big giants from the entertainment industry in the first CG-animated TMNT movie since 2007.

And following the ultimate star cast, they have garnered for the upcoming TMNT entry, which was announced back in 2020, it’s obvious that the studio has some ultimate plans for the IP moving forward.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem likely to revive the franchise into relevancy

With the extensive star power behind the movie, it’s obvious that Seth Rogen and Nickelodeon are adamant to revive the IP with the second CG-animated entry since 2007’s TMNT. And considering the successful history of the IP, with it previously grossing a whopping $1.2 Billion throughout six movies, it’s reasonable to assume that the new chapter in the IP’s history is destined for success. Following the announcement, the president of Nickelodeon Animation stated,

“We are beyond thrilled by this world-class cast we’ve assembled to bring these iconic, beloved characters to life in a new chapter of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe. This sets a new bar for this globally celebrated franchise, and we can’t wait to show audiences this film.”

Apart from the DC and Marvel heroes, Jackie Chan, Giancarlo Esposito, Ice Cube, and Post Malone will also be lending their voices to the heroes. And with the trailer on the horizon, fans are excited for the new chapter in the lives of their Half-Shell heroes.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is set to release on  August 11, 2023.
