Let’s be honest, Ryan Gosling is the collective crush of the people on this planet, regardless of their gender. After all, there is a reason he is playing Ken in the upcoming Barbie movie! Among the many ladies who have a thing for Ryan Gosling is Anna Kendrick, the actress known for her quirky yet hilariously awkward candid moments.
Anna Kendrick is not afraid to speak her mind and her Twitter is enough proof of that. Back in 2013, the actress once again had another one of these moments which some people might deem as inappropriate. She took to Twitter where she made a tweet about supposedly “pleasuring herself” while watching Ryan Gosling’s film in the theatre. Later on, though, she rightfully regretted doing so.
Anna Kendrick’s Inappropriate Tweet about Ryan Gosling
Exactly a decade ago, Ryan Gosling came out with a crime film, Gangster Squad, where the actor played the role of Sergeant Jerry Wooters. Needless to say, Gosling looked absolutely stunning in his tan suits and fedora hats and Anna Kendrick sure agrees!
Putting her infatuation on public mode, Kendrick posted a rather thirsty tweet stating that it was “apparently” inappropriate to m*sterbate at the back of the theatre adding that she would never go to a Gosling film ever again.
While the tweet might have been taken in good humor by many people, some thought it was downright disrespectful and inappropriate. Kendrick, too, has some serious regrets about the tweet, which has still not been deleted!
Anna Kendrick Talks about the Ryan Gosling Tweet
In an interview with Nylon, Kendrick stated that while she wasn’t embarrassed, she sure did not want to be in the same room as Gosling. She believes she would end up saying things that would make matters worse.
“Thank God I’ve never been in a room with him. I don’t feel embarrassed, though. I’m sure he has a sense of humor. But I’d probably feel like I’d have to address [the tweet], and I’d end up saying something to make it much, much worse.”
In another interview, this time with Cosmopolitan, Kendrick clarified that she only made the joke because Ryan Gosling’s film was in theatres at that time and she only used him as an example. She added that she didn’t know it would become a whole thing and now she dreads being in the same room as the La La Land actor.
“Now, at this point, so much has been made of it. I do feel bad because I just thought of the joke. And then I thought, ‘Well, what’s in theaters right now?’ And it was Gangster Squad. So, I thought I’d use Ryan Gosling as an example. I didn’t realize it would become such a thing, and now I’m dreading being in the same room with him and going, ‘Congratulations with your baby.’”
Gosling never responded to the tweet or even addressed it elsewhere. It looks like the entire fiasco is under the carpet now as both the actors seem to have moved on with their lives!
