The 47-year-old actress, Angelina Jolie back in 2005 opened up about working in the Mr. & Mrs. Smith project. Though the actress has given exemplary performances in several projects especially if her roles were somewhat linked to the dark genre.
She was uncomfortable in taking on that project as it majorly focused on comedy which was something she was unfamiliar with.
“I was always much more comfortable in darker roles, in pain or quieter person and it takes a lot for me to feel that I have something to contribute in a light way”
Though, she also acknowledged the fact that she is “fun” in real life.
“But I wouldn’t assume, yeah, I’m that fun friend that everybody feels at ease with, you know? And I would love to think I had more of that, but”
However, her discomfort with her role soon disappeared due to her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.

She further continued that her opinions on the role soon went away due to her co-star who helped her find her funny side.
“He is very funny which helped me be funny. He got me from being too serious and he would just make me laugh so he helped a lot.”
While their performance was highly praised by the critics, the film overall got mixed reviews. The Eternals star back in 2010 opened up the film’s sequel.
“We did ask somebody to look into Mr. & Mrs. to see if they could crack a sequel, but there wasn’t anything original. It was just, ‘Well, they’re going to get married, or they’ve got kids, or they get separated.’ Never great,
As per her, the sequel was unable to catch her attention which is why it never got a green light. The possibility of the 2005’s sequel would now be nearly impossible due to their complex history.
