Andrew Barth Feldman Gave Up Harvard to Co-Star With Jennifer Lawrence in 'No Hard Feelings': "Can't blame him. We'd do the same for her"

The film No Hard Feelings, debuting on June 23 features Lawrence Woodmere Academy graduate Andrew Barth Feldman and Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, was shot in the Five Towns last year. It will be released on June 23.

Lawrence portrays Maddie, an unfortunate Uber driver who is about to lose her childhood home. Her interest is piqued by a novel job description: “wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to ‘date’ their introverted 19-year-old son before he leaves for college,” it reads. Feldman performed as Percy. Maddie agrees to be Percy’s “girlfriend” and usher him into maturity in exchange for a Buick Regal. Maddie discovers with a Hollywood twist that “awkward Percy is no sure thing.”

No Hard Feelings, which takes place in Montauk and stars Natalie Morales and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, was directed by Gene Stupnitsky. Stupnitsky and John Phillips wrote it.

Andrew Barth Feldman gave up Harvard for No Hard Feelings

Twenty-year-old Andrew Barth Feldman made his stage debut initially. In 2019, he joined the Broadway production of Dear Evan Hansen as the title character after taking home the Best Actor prize at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. After taking a break from high school to pursue a career as a Broadway actor, Andrew enrolled at Harvard University in 2021.

The actor, however, recently claimed that he passed on the opportunity of studying in of the world’s most prestigious colleges to star alongside the talented Jennifer Lawrence. Upon hearing the news of getting cast alongside the Hunger Games actress, Feldman took to Instagram to share it with everyone.

In addition to the JLaw comedy, Andrew Barth will be seen in 2023’s Foul Play, a genre-bending improv series that stars actors from both the stage and the cinema, including Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things.

Dropping the well-renowned Harvard to star in a movie does not sound like a decision everyone would support but turns out Feldman’s decision is getting backed by a lot of his fans. Since the fans involved also have big hearts for Jennifer Lawrence, they believe Feldman made the right decision.
