Hugh Jackman‘s return as the iconic character, Wolverine in Deadpool 3, has created a buzz among the audience. As the film is getting close to its release, the excitement among the fans has escalated, and the makers of the film are trying their best to meet the fans’ expectations.
Since the character is returning to the big screen after several years, the director of the film Shawn Levy wanted to make sure that it marks a blastful comeback. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the filmmaker expressed his excitement for Wolverine’s return and said,
“Like the rest of the world, I’ve waited two decades to see Wolverine in a whole movie with Deadpool, and I don’t know if this is our last shot at Wolverine on screen. So, I was going to make goddamned sure we get the old yellow and blue just once, and that we get it right.”
Apart from Jackman’s iconic portrayal of the character, one of the most crucial things is his yellow-and-blue suit, which is the identity of Wolverine. Levy wanted to make sure that Wolverine’s costume was impeccable. The director said,
“[We went through] multiple, multiple, multiple iterations and fittings. It also helps that I’m making this movie within the MCU, so I have access to an army of the nerdiest nerds available to a Marvel project.”
In Jackman’s latest performance as Logan, he wore a similar costume that was featured in the original comic. Levy put in all his effort to get the best costume for Jackman’s character, however, the film version of Wolverine’s appearance slightly differs from the comic version. For instance, in the comic version, Wolverine dons a bright red belt that won’t be seen in Jackman’s costume, additionally, unlike the original comic book Wolverine, Jackman’s character won’t have the sleeveless costume.
