Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s divorce was highly publicized and contentious. It involved multiple legal battles, domestic abuse accusations, and a high-profile defamation lawsuit. In the aftermath of their contentious defamation lawsuit, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard now find themselves leading separate lives.
However, there was a period when the two shared a home rife with numerous conflicts. Reports suggested that Depp had expressed a desire to have a child with Heard, even going so far as to plead for such a possibility.
Amber Heard Wasn’t Ready To Have Kids With Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp is currently dedicating his attention to his upcoming film projects. One of his films, Jeanne du Barry, has been making waves in renowned film festivals, including the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival. On the other hand, Amber Heard has relocated to Spain. However, contrary to earlier rumors suggesting her departure from acting, she has clarified that she has no intentions of quitting her career in the industry.
However, a significant revelation came to light during the trial. Kristina Sexton, Amber Heard’s acting coach, testified via video link from Australia, disclosing that Depp had expressed a desire for Heard to assume a traditional domestic role, stating that he wanted her to be “barefoot and pregnant – and at home.”
The revelations surfaced in light of the accusations labeling Depp as a “wife beater,” which he vehemently denied. As reported by The Mirror, Kristina Sexton’s witness statement conveyed that Heard had confided in her about Depp’s desire to start a family. However, Heard expressed her reservations about having a child with someone battling addiction.
“Amber and I talked about his addictions: she really wanted to stay and help him get better,” said Sexton adding, “She told me that he really wanted them to have children, but she was concerned about having a child with someone who was an addict.”

The acting coach of Amber Heard further elaborated, recalling the conversation, “I remember her telling me that he wanted her ‘barefoot and pregnant – and at home’ and her saying, ‘I’m not going off the pill. I don’t want to have kids with an addict’.”
In what appeared to be a testimony against Johnny Depp, Sexton revealed, “We had this conversation a number of times over the course of their relationship.” Additionally, Sexton disclosed that Amber Heard had confided in her about some of the alleged incidents of abuse, which occurred shortly before Heard initiated divorce proceedings in 2016.
In a legal battle unfamiliar to some, Johnny Depp took legal action against the News Group Newspapers, filing a libel lawsuit over an article published in The Sun in 2018. The article in question had labeled the renowned Pirates of the Caribbean actor as a “wife beater,” sparking a contentious legal dispute.
