Christmas might be coming early this year for Netflix users. Netflix is releasing eight Netflix Original Christmas movies. Time to sit back and chill.
Holidate – October 28
Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey star as two spiteful people who hate the holidays. They meet after Christmas and strike a deal to be each other’s Plus One for the next year’s holidays till they find love. And love, they do find!!
Operation Christmas Drop – November 5
Congressional aide Erica is sent by her boss to audit a nearby Air Force base. Erica is hellbent on closing the facility. Captain Andrew Jantz is the lead pilot of Operation Christmas Drop, where he pilots a plane and airdrops presents on neighboring islands. Erica and Jantz held her regain her Christmas Spirit and save the base from being shut down.
Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey – November 13
Forest Whitaker stars as genius toymaker Jeronicus Jangle, who along with his grand-daughter, must save the town of Cobbleton with a genius invention. Keegan-Michael Kay plays the antagonist.
The Princess Switch: Switched Again – November 19
Duchess Margaret inherits the throne, hitting a rough patch with her boyfriend. It is up to Princess Stacy to set things right but the arrival of another lookalike complicates matters.
Alien Xmas – November 20
The only Netflix animated Christmas movie coming this year, the story follows an extraterrestrial plot to steal Earth’s gravity. Dee Bradley Baker voices X, a tiny humanoid alien and humanity’s last hope of saving the planet.
Dolly Parton’s Christmas On The Square – November 22
Ruthless Businesswoman Regina Fuller intends to sell the town lands to a greedy developer. To do so she must evacuate the area. Regina convinces the townspeople to leave for the night and attend the Christmas Eve party. Dolly Parton appears as Angel. She tries to persuade Regina to do the right thing. The movie is a musical with Dolly Parton lending her voice. That alone is enough reason for us to give it a try.
The Christmas Chronicles: Part 2 – November 25
The sequel to the 2018 Christmas classic follows the adventures of Kurt Russell‘s Santa Claus and his wife Mrs. Claus (Goldie Hawn). Kate is now a teenager who has stopped believing in Christmas. She and her step-brother are transported to the North Pole where they are tasked with stopping Santa Claus’ evil brother Belsnickel from destroying the Christmas Spirit.
Just Another Christmas – December 3
Leandro Hassum plays Jorge in this Brazilian Christmas movie. Jorge meets with a nasty accident on Christmas Eve and blacks out. He wakes up 364 days later on next years Christmas Eve. Jorge blacks out again and wakes up another 364 days later. Jorge now has to piece together the events he missed out when he blacks out for an entire year and deal with the fall out before he is at his life’s end.
