In 2015, The Karate Kid star published a memoir that outlined his life and how it changed when he started to emerge as one of the biggest names in the business. Here, going full candid, the star talked about his extra-marital affair with model and actress Elaine Ng Yi-Lei in 1999, along with the fact that during his younger days, he was very s*xually active and insensitive, even calling a woman ‘Number Nine’ after he engaged in intercourse with her in a club’s toilet cubicle. Apart from that, he also talked about his alcoholism, where he said:

“I drunk drove all the time. In the morning, I’d crash my Porsche, then in the evening, I’d total a Mercedes-Benz. All day long, I went around in a haze.”

He even opened up about how he once flung his then two-year-old son Jaycee across the room, who thankfully ended up falling on the couch and didn’t get hurt, but definitely thought Chan a lesson that he would remember in the future as a scar from his past.
