As WandaVision graced the big screens and won the hearts of Marvel fans worldwide in 2021 following the events displayed in Avengers: Endgame, several characters ended up being crucial to the main story. One of these included the nosy neighbor Agnes AKA the main villain of the story, Agatha Harkness, who became highly popular among the fans. And thanks to fans’ extreme interest in the character, the MCU even announced a spin-off based on her that would be titled Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
However, despite the spin-off series release date being constantly delayed ever since the announcement of its making, one more revelation has recently surfaced about the series – that in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Agatha’s son, Nicholas Scratch too will be introduced.
Who Is Nicholas Scratch, The Son Of Agatha Harkness In Agatha: Coven of Chaos?
As per recent reports, the appearance of Nicholas Scratch in Agatha: Coven of Chaos as Agatha Harkness’s son has been confirmed by reliable sources. But despite this revelation, fans don’t seem much surprised, judging how many of them had already been theorizing about his character being included in the series ever since the announcement of it being in the making.
But for those who don’t know – who is Nicholas Scratch? According to the comic books, Scratch is Agatha’s son and also an unspecified resident of the New Salem, Colorado magic users community. But despite being her heir, Nicholas Scratch’s character apparently seems to be against her, as he tries to oust his mother from her positions of power to become the most powerful magic user around, as per comics.
Furthermore, some fans have also created numerous theories about Harkness’s rabbit, Señor Scratchy being the main culprit. However, this theory has also been put to rest by the revelation that the rabbit isn’t Nicholas Scratch, but rather an entirely different demonic entity, that Agatha Harkness, apparently acquired, which will also be further explored in the upcoming spin-off series.

Actors Who Are Suitable To Play Nicholas Scratch
After the revelation about Nicholas Scratch being confirmed in the series, many questions about who will play the character have also been popping up. Although Agatha Harkness is settled to be played by Kathryn Hahn, the actor to play Scratch’s character has not been revealed yet. For what it’s worth, a few actors do deem pretty perfect for the role, who have previously portrayed dark characters with utmost sincerity as well.
One of these recommendations is Tom Ellis. After getting worldwide acclamation following his outstanding performance in Lucifer, the charming hero would be a compelling star for portraying the supervillain. But if not Ellis, then Richard Madden too can be taken into consideration. His spectacular contribution to Game of Thrones makes him the perfect match for this dark role. Harry Shum Jr. can also be taken as another suggestion, as the Shadowhunters star too could turn out to be a remarkable match to play Nicholas Scratch’s character with enough depth and intensity.
However, since no further confirmation or heads-up has been given by the producers, franchise, or sources, fans will just have to wait for the release of Agatha: Coven of Chaos to confirm their theories and speculations about the character and his importance in the series.
