Not only will he be playing a robot, but he will be starring in Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon. The movie has been marked as something that can easily compete with the Star Wars franchise.
Anthony Hopkins First Look As Jimmy The Robot
Zack Snyder termed Jimmy the robot to be some form of a wild card in his film. The first look for Anthony Hopkins Jimmy has finally been released and fans are more than happy to see the legendary actor. Snyder is looking forward to seeing Hopkins’ character come to life as the release of Rebel Moon gets closer.
“Jimmy, I see him as a wild card,” Snyder stated. “He’s on a journey of self-discovery.”
In the first look, he can be seen sitting on a rock next to a woman who is holding a yellow flower. Fans are over the moon after they saw Hopkin’s character. Even Snyder is quite fond of the character. The excitement among the director and the fans has already built up an environment for the actor that positively leads his role in the movie.

Zack Snyder’s Vision For Anthony Hopkins’ Character
Zack Snyder sees Anthony Hopkins’s Jimmy more in a fantastical manner rather than a science-fictional one. He compared Jimmy to the Arthurian fantasy and even referred to him as Lancelot. He also stated that Hopkins’ character is a mixture of not only the Knight but also Percival and Milius.
“He’s Lancelot for sure. I was thinking about him, and how Milius [another hero, played by E. Duffy and named after Conan The Barbarian writer-director John Milius, as well as filmmaker Mike Mills] is Percival.”
Snyder wanted to merge science fiction with fantasy and see how that would turn out. The result of this merger was none other than Jimmy the Robot. According to the director, the character is one that transitions throughout the course of the first and second movies. His journey is visible evidently for the audience to witness everything he goes to.
Rebel Moon will be available to watch on Netflix from 22nd December 2023.
