After The Flash Erases Snyderverse, Ben Affleck is Reportedly Jumping Ship to Marvel in Deadpool 3

With the release of The Flash, Zack Snyder’s DC Universe has officially come to an end, which means that Ben Affleck’s role as Bruce Wayne/ Batman has also come to an end. James Gunn, the Co-CEO of the DC Studios, has proposed a series of projects that will make his DCU successful. However, that does not mean that fans will not see the actor in a superhero role, as it is reported that he will be returning to Marvel to reprise his role.

Before the MCU was created, Marvel had made a series of movies based on the comic books which were either full of odd casting choices that should have never happened or became a fan-favorite movie. Ben Affleck was one of those odd choices in the franchise, where he played the role of Matt Murdock/ Daredevil, and he is reportedly going to appear in the third sequel of Deadpool.

Ben Affleck To Return As Daredevil in Deadpool 3?

Ben Affleck’s version of Matt Murdock/ Daredevil was released in 2003, which might have slipped away from the minds of many fans as the movie was a massive disappointment full of plotholes, poor action scenes, and questionable casting choices. Daredevil became a laughing stock to its viewers.

According to a report from One Take News, Ben Affleck is all set to return to Marvel in the upcoming Deadpool sequel. Though it might sound like a shock to some fans, the highly anticipated sequel is set to bring back past Marvel actors as well as some popular cast from the X-Men series.

The rumored plot is that Deadpool would use Cable’s time-traveling machine to go to the time where he can save Wolverine from dying. However, while doing so he opens up the multiverse, and they are hunted down by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), as they jump from one timeline to another.

Even though this is not confirmed, Charlie Cox has appeared as Matt Murdock/ Daredevil in the MCU films. Hence, a possibility of the multiverse has opened where Ben Affleck will reprise his role of The Man Without Fear.

Ben Affleck Shares His Opinion On Playing Batman For The Last Time

Playing a brief role in Ezra Miller’s solo adventure The Flash to mark an end to Zack Snyder’s DCEU, as well as his role as The Caped Crusader, fans had mixed feelings about the actor’s exit from the franchise. At the international premiere of The Flash, Affleck stated it was great to work alongside Andrés Muschietti who has created a masterpiece, setting a perfect tone for the movie.

The Good Will Hunting actor added that his last portrayal as Batman ended “too soon” but he shared that he had a “great time,” and he had a blast exploring different sides of his character.

“The tone is a difficult thing with these movies, trying to figure out how serious, how dark, how funny, how engaging it is. And people that have done it really well have struck a balance with that tone, and I feel like Andy really did that with this movie. And it was a lot of fun. I really had a great time and it was over too soon.”

The Air actor may not be the fan favorite Batman, and his portrayal of the character has always received mixed reactions from fans and critics, but he was still considered one of the better ones. His dedication to undergo physical changes for a more comic book-accurate depiction made him different from the other actors who has previously played the role.
