Superman: Legacy has kept the fans excited, ever since it was announced back in early February as a part of James Gunn’s reboot of the DC Universe. The fans are excited about the movie because the newly appointed Co-CEO had kept a close eye on the script of the movie. This movie will be the first project marking the beginning of Gunn’s DCU, ending Zack Snyder’s SnyderVerse.

The film that will hit theatres in 2025 has begun production, and James Gunn is not taking any risks with his project as he will directing the movie as well. The DC fans will be a little disappointed because they will not see Henry Cavill in his iconic role of Superman as it was announced that the actor will hang up his cape. However, fans would jump with excitement when an informant from Hollywood dropped a scoop about the return of an iconic character from the SnyderVerse.

The Return of An Iconic Villain from The SnyderVerse

Zack Snyder’s SnyderVerse had some of the best villains, some iconic villains which had made a striking impression in the memories of the viewers. The villains were layered and had a complexity to them which made the audience think that the actions of the villains were justified. And the Snyderverse was full of, JokerBane, General Zod are some of the most iconic villains in the SnyderVerse.

Another villain who is equally interesting to watch is Lex Luthor, another complicated personality from the SnyderVerse, and it looks like the iconic villain will mark its return in Gunn’s DCU as well. Recently, a reliable scooper from the movie industry stated that the manipulative villain will make his return in Superman: Legacy which has made the fans all the more excited for the movie.

Lex Luthor was one of the coldest villains in the SnyderVerse who was extremely shrewd and manipulative, and adding that to his resources, he gave a tough time to the Last Son of Krypton in numerous ways.

Moreover, Jesse Eisenberg’s portrayal of the complicated personality in the SnyderVerse has made the character quite popular and fans had been asking for the return of the iconic villain. While James Gunn, the man behind the script and the camera has not confirmed anything about the return of the actor or the character in his upcoming project.

What Will Be The Plot of Superman: Legacy?

According to the official synopsis released by DC Studios, it stated that Superman: Legacy will narrate the story of Clark Kent’s journey as The Man of Steel, and reconcile his past as a Kryptonian with his human upbringing in Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth and justice, and he guides himself with kindness in a world where being kind is outdated.

While none of the cast members of the movie is announced, James Gunn shared that All-Star Superman Comic was one of the main DC Comics which inspired him to write the script of the film. Since the plot of the movie is based on the comic book, there is a high possibility that Lex Luthor will be a part of the 2025 movie, and it is only a matter of time before Gunn makes an official announcement.
