Henry Cavill’s Exit From DCU

Henry Cavill is a prominent actor, who is well known for delivering hit movies. Cavill increased his fanbase on an exponential scale by playing the role of Superman. Cavill first played the role of Superman in 2013, Man of Steel, and has since reprised the character on multiple occasions. Cavill’s depiction of Superman was loved by the fans. Gunn and Safran’s decision to kick Cavill out has taken fans by surprise and invited serious criticism.

Gunn justified his decision to kick the Man of Steel star out by marking that the new DCU requires a young Superman to reshape the franchise. Gunn shared that the new superman movie will focus on the initial phases of Superman but will surely not be the origin story, as a result, his vision of Superman demands a fresh young face.
