Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s relationship was one of the most high-profile and talked-about romances in Hollywood. Jolie and Pitt’s relationship was not only characterized by their undeniable chemistry and glamorous appearances but also by their dedication to building a loving and diverse family. Together, they have six children—Shiloh, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the eldest daughter of the duo, garnered attention in no time for her stunning looks similar to her parents.
Keeping in mind her appearance, it was much expected by the public that Shiloh would soon enter the entertainment industry. But surprisingly, the 17-year-old took a shocking decision by ditching the chance to make an appearance in her mother’s Disney movie Maleficent. That’s not it, the eldest daughter of Jolie and Pitt surprisingly decided to lend her voice to Kung Fu Panda 3.
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Refused To Star Along Her Mother, Angelina Jolie, In The Maleficent
Shiloh shockingly turned down a significant offer to portray a young Aurora in the Disney fantasy film, Maleficent. Reportedly Shiloh was initially included in the call sheet for the film, but she decided to opt out of the project as she got disinterested in the movie. Angelina Jolie, in an interview, revealed that when she approached Shiloh about playing Aurora, her daughter laughed and proclaimed that she would rather be a horned creature.
“No Shiloh, however. I asked Shiloh about being Aurora, and she laughed in my face. She said she’d be a horned creature.”
Though it’s important to note that the decision of the 17-year-old daughter of Jolie and Pitt to not star in Maleficent, does not portray her disrespect for either movie or the character. As Jolie recounted a revealing incident in which she shared with her kids the backstory of Maleficent. The Gia star added that the next day, Shiloh found herself in a heated argument with another child, passionately defending Maleficent. This incident served as a confirmation for Jolie, solidifying her belief in the importance of making the film.
“I said, ‘Let me tell you the real story but you can’t tell anybody. So this was my test too, like any parent. The next day, I heard Shiloh getting into a fight with another kid, defending Maleficent, saying, ‘You don’t understand her!’ They got into a bit of an argument and I thought, that’s the reason to do the film.”
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s Shocking Decision To Work In Kung Fu Panda 3 Along With Her Siblings
While Shiloh declined the opportunity to be a part of Maleficent, she had no problems lending her voice to the animated action film, Kung Fu Panda 3. Alongside her siblings Zahara, Pax, and Knox, she participated in recording the character of Shuai Shuai, one of the young pandas in the movie. The Changeling star shared the experience of her kids while voicing the third installment of Kung Fu Panda.
“They were kind of shy. They don’t really want to be actors, but I didn’t want them to miss the opportunity. They came in, and they had a lot of fun with it.”
It looks like Shiloh is not much inclined to pursue her parent’s footsteps in the entertainment industry. The eldest daughter of Jolie and Pitt only chose to lend her voice to Kung Fu Panda 3 just to enjoy her quality time with her siblings.
