The Safdie Brothers are back with another film, and this time they’ve enlisted the help of some Hollywood heavy hitters. Following the success of their film Good Time, which launched Robert Pattinson’s career, the brothers plan to collaborate with Ben Affleck and Adam Sandler on a mystery baseball film. There’s no question that the show’s eclectic cast will delight viewers.
How Robert Pattinson Became Batman
It’s worth noting that the Safdie Brothers played a role in getting Robert Pattinson cast as Batman in Matt Reeves’ upcoming film before delving into the specifics of their newest project. As Reeves explained in an interview, he was motivated to act by Pattinson’s portrayal of a drug addict in Good Time.

Reeves thought Pattinson would be a good fit for the role of Batman because of his ability to convincingly portray both vulnerability and power, as displayed in the film directed by Benny Safdie and Josh Safdie.
The “noir-driven, detective version of Batman,” as Reeves has described his interpretation of the Dark Knight, is a departure from the more action-oriented takes on the character that have been seen before.
A Mystery Baseball Film by the Safdie Brothers
The untitled film is set in the upscale sports card-collecting community of the 1990s. Former baseball pitcher Ben Affleck will be played by Ben Affleck and sports memorabilia agent Adam Sandler will be played by Adam Sandler.
The film’s star power has been increased with the addition of Megan Thee Stallion, who will play Affleck’s girlfriend. The cast is one of the most exciting aspects of this production. Even though Ben Affleck and Adam Sandler have previously collaborated on comedies like Happy Gilmore and The Waterboy, this new project does not seem to be in that vein.
Then there’s the Safdie Brothers, who’ve made a name for themselves with their dark, tense films. Both Good Time and Uncut Gems, two of their earlier works, were well-received by critics. Including Steve Harvey in the cast highlights the offbeat nature of the production.
This looks to be the Safdie Brothers’ most daring film yet, and they clearly have no fear of failure. According to reports, the film was originally supposed to start production in winter 2022 but was pushed back to June 2022. The goal moved to start shooting in July in New York City and the Atlantic.
Since the Safdie Brothers are directing and feature an A-list cast, it should do well at the box office. Because of the intrigue surrounding the plot and the stellar cast, this film is one of the most talked-about in the past year.
