One Piece is one of the most iconic animes of all time. Despite having more than a thousand episodes, the series has one of the most loyal fanbases, having a dedicated viewership for more than two decades. The story follows a young boy named Luffy who gains the power of turning his body into rubber and goes on a quest to become the King of the Pirates.
Eiichiro Oda is the mind behind this fantastical and highly successful anime. In a post shared on the official Twitter account of One Piece, Oda shared a recent encounter he had with artificial intelligence that would leave fans of the series appalled.

Eiichiro Oda Consulted AI After Having Difficulty Coming Up With Something For One Piece
Artificial Intelligence has taken the world by storm in both positive and negative ways. Though it brings quite a lot of convincing and saves time, AI has already started to threaten the jobs of many, most famously, writers. Eiichiro Oda revealed that after having a little difficulty coming up with something new for the extremely long anime, One Piece, he decided to do something forbidden in the writing community and consulted ChatGPT to help him.
He added that he basically asked the software to come up with a new chapter for the series. Even though he was disappointed with the initial approach, the second attempt was much more interesting according to Oda. Though nothing has been confirmed, there is a chance that this storyline will make it into the series. The only way fans will find out is by looking out for the AI plot in future episodes of the series.

What Did The ChatGPT One Piece Storyline Involve?
Eiichiro Oda revealed that the first plot that ChatGPT came up with for One Piece, involved the Straw Hat Pirates finding themselves confronted by a new antagonist who is known as the King of Shadows, who takes Tony Tony Chopper, their crew’s doctor, as a hostage. Fortunately for the team, however, a member remembers a previous encounter that they have had with this ‘Shadow Tribe’ and knows how to defeat them. While this storyline may have been intriguing for some who follow the series, Oda found it quite boring and so, gave the AI another shot.
This time it came up with a new plot, one that involved aliens. This story involved the Straw Hats meeting an alien, whose planet was destroyed and was stuck there. This alien has a Star Fragment, which it can use to get back to its planet, and something a mysterious witch is trying to steal. The team must defeat the witch and help the alien get back to its home. This story seems to have appealed to Oda much more.
