Adam Driver Was Reportedly Offered Both Reed Richards and Doctor Doom Role Before MCU Decided He's Better as Mr. Fantastic

With the commencement of phase 5 of MCU, Marvel Studios has decided to make a number of projects, some of which have caught the attention of the fans. One of the movies, that has become the newest talk of the town is Fantastic Four which will be released in 2025. While the cast of the movie is not announced, there are several reports that state that Adam Driver would be the new Reed Richards/ Mr. Fantastic in the rebooted film.

Fantastic Four is one of the best movies which showcases the origin stories of a superhero family and the reboot will mark the return of the veteran superheroes who would return to the franchise after a decade. However, a scooper from Hollywood went on Twitter stating how Adam Driver was approached for two different roles in the rebooted film.

Adam Driver Was Approached for The Roles of Mr. Fantastic and Dr. Doom

While fans got to see John Krasinski in the role of Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it looks like the actor played the role for a brief period. As Marvel is working on the reboot of Fantastic Four, rumors and scoops have started to circulate about the cast of the movie.

And it looks like Adam Driver would soon make his Marvel debut as Reed Richards in the rebooted film set to release on 14th February 2025. For the past few weeks the reports of the actor playing either the role of Reed Richards or Doctor Doom in the movie.

While Driver was linked heavily with the role of Mr. Fantastic, reports of him playing the role of Dr. Doom seemed unlikely. Recently, Slender, a reliable scooper from Hollywood tweeted how they first reported that the House of Gucci actor was linked with two roles in the film.

While the fans were convinced at first that the Marriage Story actor would have been a great choice as Doctor Doom, the majority of the fans believe that The Last Duel would be the perfect cast for the role of Reed Richards.

Adam Driver is the Perfect Actor to Play Reed Richards

While the casting of Adam Driver is not confirmed, he will be the perfect actor to play the character because Richards is known to be a complicated character. He is the smartest man on Earth, who sometimes tends to be a tad bit arrogant and sometimes awkward. Since Marvel has some humor in their films, the actor must have a good sense of humor as well, and most importantly the actor should look like a father figure to the audience.

Moreover, the actor has done a lot of roles that bring out various sides of Reed Richards. In his films, Driver has showcased humor in Logan Lucky and has portrayed the role of a genius while being a paranoid father in White Noise, films which have convinced the fans that the actor will be perfect for the role. Moreover, the 65 actor has a massive fan base around the world, hence he becomes the perfect actor that Marvel would like to play the role.
