Activision isn’t Playing Games with Diablo 4 as Thousands Banned

Since its release, Diablo 4 has been an ever-growing game with hundreds to thousands of players logging in every day, and this will most likely continue for a long time to come, but many gamers have been getting banned recently due to Diablo 4‘s developer Blizzard cracking down on people who are cheating in Diablo 4 which has led to thousands of bans and has caused quite an uproar amongst gamers who believe that what they have done isn’t ban-worthy.

Why are players being banned in Diablo 4?

Since day one of its release, Blizzard has always been very clear on their rules regarding cheating in Diablo 4, stating that if players do cheat, they will be banned without a second thought, and due to this, many players have been banned over the past few days for this exact reason as Blizzard has been banning thousands of accounts after it has been found out that the people responsible have been using certain exploits in Diablo 4 to cheat and gain an advantage.

At the moment, Diablo 4 is still a rather new game with a lot of quirks to fix over the following few updates that Blizzard will be dishing out over the next few months, but some gamers have been finding a few different exploits which they can use to get the upper hand in Diablo 4 and progress in ways that shouldn’t be possible.

As Blizzard looks at this, they believe that it is a form of cheating, and they cannot allow that and will continue to ban accounts if people carry on using these exploits in Diablo 4. Many gamers who come across these different exploits may not even be aware that they are exploits unless they keep up with the information that is posted about Diablo 4 on a daily basis, and even if that is the case, their accounts will also be banned whether they intended to cheat or not.

How are gamers cheating in Diablo 4?

In many games, there are a lot of ways to cheat, and most gamers, when they hear the term cheat, will think about hackers and people who use external software to change how the game is run. This isn’t the case in this regard, but it is safe to say that if people are caught using a third-party system to change the way Diablo 4 is run, then they will also get a ban for their account, as Blizzard has already stated that this goes against the terms of service for Diablo 4.

This case doesn’t revolve around hackers, however, as it is more targeted towards people who use in-game bugs to get around different aspects of the game so they get what they want at a faster rate. For example, there is a current exploit that is being used, which is one of the main reasons for these bans, and that is players being able to send items over from Eternal characters to Seasonal characters; for those who do not know in Diablo 4 there are two different types of characters that can be created, and it should be impossible to share loot between them.

There is also an exploit which players have been using to farm end-game dungeons in which they join a group with some friends, and once the dungeon is complete, they change who is the set leader of the party, and the game resets the dungeon, and they are able to farm it out once again. Many gamers wouldn’t think twice about these exploits as they don’t think that they will affect the overall game, but there are some players who are not aware of these exploits, which could be dragged along by mistake and get brought along into a ban for their accounts as well.

Many gamers believe that whilst these glitches are still in the game, they should be exploited to make the game easier, but that isn’t the case as they aren’t features that are intended for use and can get players banned. Currently, Blizzard is working on fixing these exploits and some other current bugs that plague Diablo 4.

What do you think about these exploits currently active in Diablo 4? Have you encountered anyone using these exploits? Do you think it’s right they get banned for using these exploits? Let us know in the comments what you think!
