The Unsettling Exchange Between Johnny Depp’s Friend & Amber Heard

Amid the hazardous legal altercations that unfolded between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, both their careers took the brunt of their fallout; accusations were hurled, sides were taken, and after all, was said and done, the court found Heard liable in their dispute while her ex-husband was offered $15 million in damages, the figure ultimately brought down to $10.35 million.

While they have seemingly moved on with their lives at present, there was a time when the whole world found itself divided between the two stars, painting the other side culpable. And Depp’s longtime friend was no exception to that.

During the trial, Gina Deuters, the wife of the 59-year-old actor’s friend and business partner, Stephen Deuters, took the stand against the Aquaman star. But her testimony ended up getting dismissed after admitting to watching clips of the trial online prior to taking the stand as Depp’s witness. In an exclusive interview with Page Six following the debacle, Deuters then brought to light an interaction of hers with Heard which deemed her a neurotic person who “enjoyed” butting heads with others.

“There was one thing Amber said at the wedding. She leaned over to me and said, ‘Do you and Stephen ever fight?’ I said, ‘Sometimes we argue,’ and she said, ‘No, Gina, do you really fight?’ And it was a little disconcerting. [I thought], ‘Do you enjoy it?'”

And that wasn’t even the worst of it.

Amber Heard Was Deemed ‘A Sociopathic Showbiz Pony’

Not only did Deuters accuse The Danish Girl actress of having a secret, disturbing penchant for “fighting,” she also called Heard an “entitled” and “controlling” woman who was hell-bent on obliterating the Pirates of the Caribbean star.

“I think there’s a part of Amber that [believes] fighting is passion,” she told the media outlet. “[Amber] is someone who is always used to getting what she wants. She’s pretty entitled and I think she made big demands in her divorce.” In light of Depp’s accusations in the defamation lawsuit, his friend claimed that when Heard was “denied those demands,” it felt like she would go on to “destroy” the award-winning actor for not getting her way.

Deuters also revealed how her husband labeled Heard, 37, as a “sociopathic showbiz pony” and didn’t regret it in the least. “Stephen [Deuters], in the end, was literally the mediator,” she stated. “No one else wanted to deal with Amber, and Stephen was the only person she could talk to.”

Perhaps the sordid trial left a charred imprint on way more people than one would’ve expected.
