Olivia Wilde and Ryan Reynolds starred alongside in the 2011 fantasy romantic comedy The Change-Up. The movie follows two friends, Dave and Mitch, who envy each other’s lives, only to realize that it’s not as great as it seems after their bodies get swapped.
The Deadpool star talked about the movie during a conversation with the former late-night talk show host Jay Leno. As the conversation slowly turned to the intimate scene between Reynolds and Wilde in the film, the 46-year-old actor didn’t even hesitate to share some embarrassing behind-the-scenes details as well.
“So, in the scene, she’s sitting there and I take her top off and the bra off, and she has those pasties on, but she’s drawn these adorable little smiley faces on them.”
He further explained that it made him forget all his lines, not only from The Change-Up but from every other movie he had ever done. Reynolds said that he felt like a “14-year-old boy that just won the lady lottery” as the scene progressed.
Olivia Wilde Talked About Intimate Scenes in The Change-Up
During her appearance on the late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Olivia Wide shared that the filmmakers used CGI for the naked scenes in the movie. She shared that in one of the scenes, she appears to be naked, which was not real, and it was digitally developed after the filming.
“In that scene, Ryan Reynolds is supposed to be covering them, and he moved, and so the pasties were in the movie, and so they had to paint in ni**les using CGI,” she shared on the late-night show. Wilde also shared that she was later sent an email with multiple shots and was told to choose the one that seemed close to the original.
