1. Avatar (2009) – It isn’t a great film or storytelling. It has its flaws, but it is worth watching because of James Cameron’s visual spectacle. It is an absolute eye candy and still looks better than many high-budget films released eleven years ago.
2. Cinderella (1997) – Cinderella is a pure classic in terms of its soundtrack. Its fans are eagerly waiting for the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s duo. After a long wait, it’s finally streaming on Disney+. Cinderella is a perfect mix of a great cast, pleasant soundtrack, and beautiful storytelling. Don’t miss this out if you are a sucker of musical fantasies.
3. Emperor’s New Groove (2000) – When a discussion comes regarding the best animations films of Disney, Emperor’s New Groove is very rarely mentioned. Of course, it lacks various elements such as award-winning music, head-over-heels romance, and so on. But, what makes this movie special is the characters. The absurd and sarcastic one-liners that make you say that this is one of the best animation movies that Disney has made.
4. Finding Nemo (2003) – There is a reason why people call it a ‘Cult Classic’. Even after several years of its release, forget about kids, even older people still watch this movie. This under-sea adventure never loses its track nor slows down anywhere. It strikes a perfect balance between humor, emotion, and energy. Hands down, it is the most saddest film that Pixar has ever made.
5. Captain America: Civil War (2016) – Imagine a face-off between Captain America and Iron Man squads. It’s destruction, and this movie is no exception. The different views and misunderstandings, like who killed Stark’s parents, caused the superhero group to tear apart. Civil War takes you through a phase where even superheroes receive equal love and hatred from people.
6. Ant-Man (2015) – Yes, Ant-Man is not the primary member of the Avengers. But, his mid-range status in the Avengers gives him a lot of advantages. The director perfectly captures Ant-Man’s shrinking and growing abilities to create unique sequences in the superhero universe. Also, Scott Lang’s witty nature is another added asset of the film as he’s fun to watch.
7. The Jungle Book (2016) – It is well-known that the live-action remakes of old classic animated films are often disappointing. But, The Jungle Book is an exception. While keeping its characters and soundtrack the same, it digs deeper into the storyline and touches unexplored areas. Also, this film is a visual wonder where everything looks so real. Kudos to Jon Favreau’s brilliant CGI.
